Antique Homer Laughlin ironstone syrup pitcher. Stamped βHOMER LAUGHLIN 25Lβ underneath (circa February 1915). Metal hinged lid seems to be missing a piece (see photos) but opens/closes without issue. No cracks or chips anywhere, charming staining throughout. Marks with date codes from 1911 - 1919 will have:a number for the month (1 through 12)a single number for the year (1=1911, 2=1912,..., 8=1918, 9=1919)an L for the Laughlin potteries in East Liverpool, Ohio or an N for the Newell potteries in Newell, West Virignia. Wares from this time period offer the least amount of confusion with respect to backstamps. It is the only decade that uses numbers for the months and single numbers for the years. Perfect for everyday use. first-class materials and excellent craftsmanship ensure long-lasting durability.
